Requirements

Applicants must:

Be a Weehawken resident and high school senior
Plan to enroll as a full-time student at a college or university for the 2026–2027 academic year
Begin their course of study during the academic year in which the scholarship is awarded
Submit one letter of recommendation (approximately 200–250 words) from a guidance counselor, teacher, coach, organization leader, or employer (Letters may not be submitted by a parent or relative.)
Provide an official transcript showing the most recent grades and standardized test scores, verified and signed by the student’s guidance counselor

Selection Process

Applications must be received by April 24, 2026.
The PFC Salvatore P. Cemelli Scholarship Committee will announce the recipient by May 11, 2026.
The scholarship recipient is asked to attend the Weehawken Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on May 26, 2026, where the award will be presented.
