 Scholarship Application
2025

A $1,000 non-renewable scholarship will be awarded to a Weehawken resident high school senior attending college full-time in the 2025-2026 school year.

The recipient will be honored at the Weehawken Memorial Day Ceremonies on May 26, 2025, after the annual parade.

Eligibility

  • The candidate must be a Weehawken resident high school senior, who will be a full-time student at a college or university in the 2025-2026 school year.
     

  • Financial need will be considered.
     

  • The candidate must pursue his/her course of college study within the academic year of the scholarship grant.

Required Information & Documents

  • Completed 5-part Application Form, printed legibly.​
     

  • Part 4 of the Application Form completed and signed by the candidate’s guidance counselor.
     

  • ​One Letter of Recommendation of approximately 200-250 words from a guidance counselor, teacher, coach, organization leader, or employer (cannot be a parent or relative).​
     

  • Official Transcript showing most recent grades and official standardized test scores.​

Essay

  • Write a 500-word essay on the following topic:​

    How have the core values of our country (i.e. freedom, equality, and justice) shaped your academic and personal goals? Include examples of how these values have influenced your choices and aspirations.​

Application Submission Guidelines

  1. Applications must include all required components; incomplete submissions will not be considered.
     

  2. Deadline: April 25, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.
     

  3. Submit your completed application to pfcspcfoundation@gmail.com with the subject line: 2025 Scholarship Application Submission.
